Day 14

We reviewed the results of the metrics lab from the past two days. I used close-up pictures of the triple-beam balances and graduated cylinder to help students better read the results. I then physically read the thermometers and meter sticks and gave my opinioned results. After reviewing the lab, I handed out a 2-sided supplement that helped to introduce the topic of DENSITY. One side was a cartoon, while the other was a collection of 12 practice problems finding either mass, volume or density. After discussing what density was, students used calculators to complete the practice problems, and we went over the answers in the last 5 minutes of class.

No homework was assigned, and the Chapter 1 test will be on Thursday, September 26th.
